Analytics & Tracking

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

TapBee is designed to provide useful insight into activity on your profile and links. We make reasonable efforts to keep analytics reliable and test our analytics systems, but no analytics system can guarantee that every visit or interaction will be detected, recorded, or classified perfectly. Analytics are best understood as measurements and estimates of activity.

Free Basic Analytics

Basic Analytics is included with the Free plan and is available now. Advanced Analytics is separate from Free Basic Analytics. Pro and Business remain Coming Soon and are not currently available to purchase or upgrade.

See supported Basic Analytics capabilities.

How analytics work

TapBee measures activity such as profile visits and link interactions, then presents that information in useful summaries. The information available for an event determines how it can be counted and classified.

Why numbers can vary

Measurement may be affected by browser behavior, privacy settings, cookie or storage restrictions, ad blockers and privacy extensions, VPNs and proxies, ISP or network behavior, device and browser configuration, caching, network interruptions, third-party infrastructure, or temporary service and connectivity problems. These are examples of factors that may affect some events; they do not necessarily affect every visit or interaction.

Device information

TapBee may group activity into broad device categories such as Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, or Unknown. Classification uses information available with the request, so a category may occasionally be unavailable or differ from the visitor's actual device.

Geographic information

Where geographic analytics are available, they are intentionally coarse and may be unavailable or inaccurate. VPNs, proxies, ISP or network routing, privacy protections, and the geographic information available from infrastructure providers can all influence the result. TapBee analytics are not intended to provide a visitor's precise location.

Traffic sources

Traffic-source analytics are classifications based on information available to TapBee and may not identify the true origin of every visit. Referral information can be missing or changed by browsers, privacy tools, redirects, sharing platforms, or other infrastructure.

Missing or duplicate events

TapBee uses safeguards intended to reduce duplicate counting. Even with those safeguards, events may occasionally be missing or represented differently than you expect. Analytics should not be understood as a promise that every event is delivered or counted exactly once.

Testing and monitoring

We test and monitor analytics functionality and make reasonable efforts to identify and correct issues. Testing helps us improve the product, but it cannot prove that every production event will always be captured or classified correctly.

Third-party infrastructure

TapBee depends on hosting, networks, browsers, and other infrastructure. These systems can experience outages, delays, filtering, or unexpected behavior that may affect when or whether activity is measured.

How to interpret your analytics

Use analytics to identify trends, compare activity, and understand how engagement changes over time. Individual numbers are useful signals, but they should not necessarily be treated as an exact count of every real-world visitor or interaction.
